BidBot is BidScript's in-platform AI agent, supporting bid teams across the whole bidding lifecycle. It works inside BidScript, using your organisation's approved knowledge and project data rather than the open internet.
It helps teams find information faster, draft higher-quality responses, keep submissions consistent, and spend less time searching and rewriting.
What BidBot is
BidBot plays three roles, and knowing which one you are asking for changes how you prompt it.
Assistant | Drafts, summarises and retrieves information. |
Analyst | Interprets requirements, evaluates responses and identifies gaps. |
Agent | Performs tasks on your behalf, taking actions across the platform. |
Where to find it
In the left-hand sidebar, click BidBot.
BidBot is also available inside a project, from the project's top navigation bar, and inside the Answer Workspace. Each surface gives BidBot different context. See BidBot in the Answer Workspace.
If your organisation has renamed BidBot, look for that name in the same place. See Team Content Controls.
What BidBot can reach
Bid Library | Policies, templates and historical responses. |
Q&A Store | Pre-approved question-and-answer pairs. |
Projects | Tender documents, extracted questions, tasks and progress data. |
Project pipelines | Generating Gantt charts, assigning members, escalating timelines and making quick edits. |
BidSearch | Live tenders, contract notices and planning opportunities, where the add-on is enabled. |
The web | Public sources, media and specific URLs — only when you explicitly enable it. |
These can be used on their own or combined, so a single request can draw on several sources at once.
Working with chats
Each chat is contextually independent, so you can work on separate tasks without one bleeding into another.
Start a new chat
Open the BidBot interface.
Click + New Chat.
Type your request.
Return to a previous chat
Use the conversation history to reopen an earlier chat, or to rename and delete chats you no longer need.
Do not switch chats or start a new one while BidBot is generating. Doing so may stop the generation, and you will need to send your prompt again.
Ground BidBot before you ask
Where your account has more than one Bid Library, always select which one BidBot should draw from before prompting it. The wrong library produces a confident, well-written answer about the wrong part of your business.
See Using Specific Libraries for how to select them and when to use more than one.
BidBot does not use the open web or any external source unless you explicitly enable it. See Web Search.
