The Bid Library is BidScript's central knowledge repository - a secure, structured store of your organisation's information, and the source the AI draws on when generating tender responses.
Everything else in BidScript gets better as this gets better. The library is what turns a generic first draft into one that sounds like your organisation and cites your actual evidence.
Where to find it
In the left-hand sidebar, click Bid Library.
What it is for
Organisational knowledge | Policies, procedures, case studies, templates, credentials and other core documents, held in one place. |
AI-powered drafting | The richer the library, the more tailored and accurate the drafts BidScript produces. |
Single source of truth | Consistency across teams and bids, rather than each bid writer working from their own copies. |
For what to put in it, see Bid Library Recommended Uploads.
Multiple libraries
Depending on your subscription tier, your team can create and manage several libraries.
Each library can cover a line of business, product set or functional area.
Separating them prevents cross-contamination — the wrong library produces a confident answer about the wrong offering.
SharePoint sync libraries are always separate, and treated as their own library.
Local and SharePoint static uploads behave like standard library documents.
Agree naming conventions and library ownership early. Once several libraries exist, whoever generates a draft has to choose between them correctly. See BidBot in the Answer Workspace.
Vectorisation
Vectorisation converts your documents into a form BidScript's AI can understand and retrieve from.
It happens automatically after upload.
A green Vectorised tab on the document shows it has completed.
Until it completes, the document cannot be found by content search or used in drafting.
Check the status after uploading — particularly after a bulk upload, where one failed document is easy to miss and will silently be absent from every draft that should have used it.
Keeping the library healthy
A library is not finished when it is populated. The Health dashboard brings together the four things that keep it trustworthy: knowledge gaps, freshness, access requests and flagged items. See Bid Library health dashboard.
Take a tour
Take a Tour gives new users an interactive walkthrough of uploading, folder management and search. You can pause, skip or revisit any step, and it is worth returning to when new features appear.
