The Answer Workspace gives you several ways to produce a draft: write it yourself, have BidScript generate it, or combine the two. You can work on one question at a time, or generate first drafts across many questions at once.

Whichever route you take, confirm four things before you generate:

The Win Themes to apply (optional)
The Writing Structures to apply (recommended)
The Bid Libraries to ground from (must)
The Label configuration (recommended)

Your options

Manual drafting	Type directly into the editor.
Individual generation	Generate an AI draft for a single question.
Bulk generation	Generate first drafts for many questions at once.
Inline refinement	Regenerate specific passages rather than the whole answer. See BidBot in the Answer Workspace.

These can be combined at any point.

Bulk generation

Bulk generation is the recommended way to produce first drafts across a tender. It creates complete initial responses for many questions at once, giving the team a baseline to collaborate on and refine.

When to use it

You want first drafts across the whole bid quickly, or a set of questions accessible via document or section level
The same Bid Libraries and Label Configurations apply consistently across the questions you have selected.
You want to move into review, optimisation and compliance checks sooner.

When to generate individually instead

Different questions need different Bid Libraries and or Label Configurations as grounding sources.
Different questions need different Win Themes or a different emphasis.
You want to test structure or tone on a small group of questions first.

How to bulk generate

Go to the Questions tab in your project, or access a set of questions at document/ section level.
Select all questions, or a subset.
Click Generate.
In the window that opens, confirm the Win Theme (optional), Writing Structure (recommended), Bid Libraries (must) and Label Configurations (recommended) to apply.
Confirm to begin.

A progress indicator appears at the top of the question table and updates you as the generation runs.

You can carry on working elsewhere in the platform while drafts generate. Each question's draft appears in its Answer Workspace as soon as that question completes.

Manual drafting

You can type directly into the Answer Workspace editor at any time. The editor supports standard formatting, saves automatically, and allows several people to work at once.

Manual drafting suits situations where:

You already have partial or legacy content.
You are tailoring an imported/ generated draft.
You want to set the structure and key points before involving AI.

Expand notes into a draft

You can sketch rough notes or bullet points as scaffolding, then have BidBot build them out.

Highlight your notes or bullet points in the editor.
Type an instruction into the Ask BidBot input that appears — for example, "Expand these points into a 300-word response with a professional tone."
Confirm to open the BidBot sidebar and submit the prompt.

This keeps you in control of structure and priorities while BidBot does the expansion.

Best practice

Use bulk generation early to establish a complete baseline across the bid.
Confirm Bid Libraries, Win Themes and language before generating, not after.
Treat a generated draft as a starting point, not a finished answer.
Move quickly into review, inline refinement and compliance checking.
