Outcome Area: Overview

The Outcome Area is where you capture what happened after a bid was submitted - feedback sources, question-level performance, and a structured post-mortem.

The Outcome Area is where your bids keep working for you after submission. It is a dedicated space inside each project for logging client feedback, reviewing performance question by question, and recording a structured post-mortem.

The point is not record-keeping for its own sake. Everything captured here feeds BidBot and your team's Learning Insights, so what you learn on this bid improves the next one.

When you can use it

The Outcome Area becomes available once a project's status is set to Won, Lost or Cancelled.

Where to find it

  1. In the left-hand sidebar, under Workspace, click Projects.

  2. Click the project you want to review.

  3. Select the Outcome tab in the project's top navigation bar.

You land on the Question feedback sub-tab. Use the tab strip at the top to move between the three areas.

The three sub-tabs

Sources

Where you upload or paste everything you received after the bid — debriefs, scorecards, client emails, portal comments, notes from a verbal debrief.

Question feedback

Feedback matched to each individual question, so you can see how each answer actually performed.

Post-mortem

The structured record of the bid's outcome — scores, reasons, themes and lessons.

The order to work in

The three sub-tabs are sequential, and working out of order creates rework.

  1. Add your sources first. Sources are shared across both question feedback and the post-mortem auto-draft, so everything downstream depends on them. See Adding client feedback.

  2. Generate and review question feedback. Pin the questions worth highlighting, and add strong answers to the Q&A Store.

  3. Complete the post-mortem. Auto-draft it from your sources, review every suggested field, and mark it complete. See Completing a post-mortem.

What you can do with question feedback

The Question feedback tab lists every question in the project. Select one on the left to view or edit the feedback attached to that answer.

Generate feedback

BidScript reads your uploaded sources and drafts feedback matched to that question.

Edit

Opens a text editor so you can type or paste feedback yourself. Changes save automatically.

Copy

Copies the full feedback text to your clipboard, using the copy icon in the feedback card header.

Pin to post-mortem

Marks the question as a highlight. Pinned questions are referenced when you complete the post-mortem, and surfaced in Learning Insights.

Add to QA store

Stores the question, your final answer and the outcome feedback together, making all three available to BidBot on future bids.

Open question answer

Opens the complete answer in read-only mode alongside the feedback.

Add to QA store is the step most often skipped, and the one that compounds. A question stored with its feedback tells BidBot not just what you answered, but how that answer actually scored.
