Adding client feedback

Get debriefs, scorecards, portal comments and verbal feedback into the Outcome Area, then extract and assign that feedback to individual questions.

Feedback arrives in many forms, and how you add it to BidScript depends on the form it arrives in. Everything ends up in the same place - the Sources tab of the Outcome Area - from where it can be matched to individual questions.

Common formats:

  • Original submission documents

  • Emails or formal debrief letters

  • Feedback forms or score sheets

  • Verbal feedback from meetings or calls

  • Comments in procurement portals

Where you are entitled to receive evaluator comments, those can be uploaded too.

Before you start

Set the project's status to Won, Lost or Cancelled. The Outcome Area is not available until you do.

Add every source you have before generating anything. Sources are shared across question feedback and the post-mortem auto-draft, so a source added later means regenerating what you have already produced.

Add feedback held in documents

Use this for submission documents, debrief letters, emails, feedback forms and score sheets.

  1. Save each source as a document. To save an email, press Cmd+P (Mac) or Ctrl+P (Windows) and save as a PDF.

  2. Open the project and go to the Outcome tab.

  3. Click + Add Feedback.

  4. Upload the document - drag and drop it, or browse for it.

  5. Click Save.

The document appears in the Sources tab. BidScript reads it automatically and extracts the text.

Supported formats: PDF, Word (.doc and .docx), and plain text.

Add feedback given verbally or in a portal

Verbal debriefs and portal comments have no document to upload, so paste the text instead.

  1. Have your notes, comments or feedback to hand.

  2. Open the project and go to the Outcome tab.

  3. Click + Add Feedback.

  4. Select Enter Text.

  5. Give it a file name, and paste the feedback verbatim.

  6. Click Save.

Paste what you were actually told rather than a summary. BidScript matches feedback to questions by reading it, and a paraphrase loses the specifics that make the match accurate.

Create a project outcome digest

A digest is a project-level summary across your uploaded sources.

  1. Select the sources you want to include.

  2. Click Digest.

BidScript produces a summary of the feedback across those sources.

Assign feedback to questions

Once your sources are in, BidScript can match the feedback to individual questions.

  1. Go to the Question feedback tab.

  2. Select the questions you want feedback extracted and assigned for.

  3. Click Generate.

When it finishes, a green tick appears beside each question, and selecting a question shows its feedback and score.

Add feedback to one question by hand

Use this where you have feedback for a single question that no source covers.

  1. Go to the Question feedback tab.

  2. Select the question.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Type or paste the feedback.

  5. Click Done.
