Archiving takes a finished project out of your active workspace without deleting anything. The project and all of its work are preserved and can be restored at any time.
Archiving is how the Projects, Tasks and Questions views stay focused on live bids as your history of completed work grows.
Archiving is not the same as deleting. Deleting a project permanently removes it and everything in it, and cannot be undone.
How projects are archived
A project is archived in one of two ways.
Automatically | Once a project has sat in the Won or Lost status for 28 days or more, it is archived for you. |
Manually | You archive it yourself, at any time and from any status. |
Archive a project manually
In the Projects view, find the opportunity card for the project.
Click the ⋯ icon in the card's top-right corner.
Select Archive.
The project disappears from the Projects view, and its questions and pipeline tasks disappear from the Questions and Tasks views at the same time.
What happens to questions and tasks
Questions and pipeline tasks belong to their project, so they follow it.
When a project is archived, every question and every pipeline task inside it is archived with it, and all three are removed from the active workspace together. They reappear in their own archive views automatically.
Questions and tasks cannot be archived or restored on their own. Their state always follows the project they belong to, so to bring a question or a task back you restore its project.
View archived records
Go to the view whose archive you want to see — Projects, Tasks or Questions.
In the top-right of the view, click Archive.
The view switches to show only archived records for that area.
Leave the archive
There are two ways back to your active workspace:
Click the Archive button again.
Move your cursor to the bar that appears over the view, and use it to return to the main workspace.
Restore a project
Go to the Projects view and click Archive to open the archive.
Find the project you want to restore.
Click the ⋯ icon in the card's top-right corner.
Select Unarchive.
The project returns to the active Projects view in the status it held when it was archived. All of its questions and pipeline tasks are restored at the same time, and reappear in the Questions and Tasks views.
