A Team Member Profile gives you a detailed view of one person's workload, availability, contribution and background. It shows not just what someone is working on, but how much capacity they have left and what kind of work they are best placed to support.

Use it for day-to-day resource planning, reviewing specialist strengths, and understanding individual contribution across active bids.

Where to find it

  1. In the left-hand sidebar, click Team.

  2. Toggle on People.

  3. Click the member's row, or use the Profile action.

The four headline indicators

Availability

How much capacity they currently have for new work.

Workload

How much delivery pressure they are under.

Active Bids

How many live bids they are involved in.

Win Rate

Their commercial track record across completed bids.

For how these are calculated and what a full workload means, see Member Capacity.

The detail metrics

Further down, the profile breaks the headline figures apart.

Task Progress

How many of their assigned tasks on active projects have been completed.

Question Progress

How many of their assigned questions have been completed or reviewed.

Availability Distribution

Splits capacity between project-level and question-level load, so you can see where the pressure is actually coming from.

Workload Composition

The balance between writing responsibilities and reviewing responsibilities.

Recent Activity

A log of recent project, task and question activity.

Availability Distribution and Workload Composition are the two worth reading before reallocating work. Someone at capacity because they are reviewing across six bids needs a different intervention from someone at capacity writing two.

Profile description and skills

Two editable fields sit on the right-hand side of the profile.

Profile Description

A short summary of the person's role, experience or focus areas.

Member Skills

Keyword labels for their areas of expertise — technical writing, reviewing, public sector bids, pricing, compliance, method statements, social value, commercial strategy.

Only team admins or organisation admins can edit these fields.

Why these two fields matter more than they look

They are not documentation. BidScript reads them.

  • They power skills search and filtering on the Member Capacity page, so a person with an empty profile will not surface when you search for a specialist.

  • They drive auto-assignment. When a project pipeline is generated, BidScript matches these descriptions and labels against the tasks it creates, and assigns accordingly. Vague or missing profiles produce poor matches or none at all.

Write descriptions that are specific and focused on actual responsibilities, use labels that mirror your internal bid terminology, and keep both current as roles change. See Auto-assigning team members to tasks.

Questions the profile answers

  • Is this person genuinely available for more work?

  • Are they overloaded because of bids, tasks or questions specifically?

  • What kind of work are they best suited to support?

  • Have they been actively contributing, or are they underused?

  • Do their skills and description still reflect their current role?

Best practice

Update a member's description and skills whenever they take on new responsibilities or become the lead in a new area. Profile quality determines both how visible someone is to your team and how accurately BidScript can allocate work to them.
